Conference Hosts

Mobirise

Join us in hosting the next ROB|ARCH conference on robotic fabrication in architecture, art, and design!

ROB|ARCH first took place in 2012 in Vienna, Austria as a conference to bring together robot users from the creative industry, to exchange knowledge as well as to network with industry and the wider field of robotics. A strong focus has always been on the three days of hands-on workshops, hosted by leading research institutions as well as commercial partners. The conference has since been hosted by the University of Michigan (2014), the University of Sydney (2016) and ETH Zurich (2018). With 2020 and 2022 prevented by the global pandemic, we are now looking for international partners to host the next evolution of the ROB|ARCH conference series in collaboration with the Association for Robots in Architecture and the Springer Construction Robotics Journal!

The proposal should include the following information:
•  Introduction & potential conference focus topic
// briefly present your institution/consortium and a research topic that meshes with your interests.

• CV of hosts, description of labs for workshops & conference venue
// provide some concise background on the organizer team plus potential labs for workshop (~150 attendees) and venue for the conference (>400 attendees). Consortia are encouraged to apply, e.g. to spread workshops around multiple locations. However, an easy reachability of the core conference location is important.

• Rough venue costs (if applicable) & possible sponsorships

// list approximate costs for using the suggested venues for 3 days workshops and 2 days conference, potential sponsorship opportunities through local/associated companies.

• Letter of support from primary organizing institution
// LOS may be submitted after the deadline as we understand that people are on holiday

•  Preferred dates selected from below
